The 65th Technical Committee on Information and Communication System Security (ICSS) was held on November 16 and 17, 2023, in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, and online. The presentations covered a wide range of topics, including symmetric key encryption, ID-based encryption, lattice-based cryptography, homomorphic encryption, online fraud, terminal identification, tamper-resistant software, password guessing, IoT security, and more. Participants were able to gain insights into methods of attack detection and ethical considerations. The question-and-answer sessions involved lively exchanges of opinions, making it a meaningful academic conference.
